COVID-19 Vaccine in Kent and Medway

Covid-19 Vacine

The Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Covid-19 vaccination webpage provides information about the progress of the rollout of the vaccination programme across Kent and Medway. This includes a list and map of the current vaccination sites, as well as information on the priority list for getting a vaccine. This is a rolling programme and more vaccination services will be opening across Kent and Medway, including the Dover District, as further supplies of the vaccine become available.

GP surgeries are working together in groups called Primary Care Networks (PCN) to provide the Covid-19 vaccine.

The Covid-19 vaccination programme for GP practices in the Dover District starts on Monday, 11 January. This is for GP practices in three Primary Care Networks – Total Health Excellence Dover PCN, Dover Town PCN, and the Deal and Sandwich PCN.

  1. Nothing has been said about how the housebound will get the vaccine. My husband is 84 and has been housebound for five years. I am 79 and his carer, I also have to be careful as I have a lot of underlying ailments and only one kidney due to cancer and have been shielding since last February

  2. What’s the capacity of the Medical
centre in Dover? Unless it’s over 300 per day they’ll miss the Govt target . Is there parking to take the volume of people who drive to have their vaccination ?

  3. How oh how are we supposed to get to Dover from Deal if we don’t have a car? Every way that has been suggested is risky. Please help!

    • I’m over 80 and no longer have a car, have looked at going by bus, but feel that is not a good choice as mixing with too many other people who are not in my bubble. I can only see that a Taxi will be needed, for probably £20.00 each way. I have seen a suggestion that maybe a shuttle bus could be arranged, but again means missing too closely with other people. Maybe neighbours or friends might be willing, but again is that allowed as I will not be in their bubble.?????
