Great news last week coming out with regards to vaccines being done in Walmer and Deal after hearing the only place to go was Dover.
With local residents not happy of course having to go out and travel to another town, did somewhat seem silly not to have our own area to go in our own town.
Our local MP Natalie Elphicke announced that the GP-lead centre will be at Balmoral Surgery in Canada Road, Walmer. This was confirmed on the Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group website.
It is also said that the Clockwork Pharmacy in Deal High Street will administer vaccines.
Both of these are great news for us, even more so for vulnerable people that were expected somehow to travel to Dover during this time, which was unreasonable for them to do.
We look forward to seeing both up and running and the people of Deal, Walmer and surrounding areas taking up there vaccines.
